A Great Blue Heron grooms himself along the banks of the New River.

Lunch on the Fly

This osprey, or fish eagle, brought his catch to the Sailboat Bend Wildlife Preserve.

He keened for a few minutes, looking around all the while. Eventually he flew off to the other side of the river, in search of a lunch date.
